Discovery Ski Area - Discovery boasts some of the most consistent skiing in western Montana.
Known for its awesome snow, uncrowded lift lines and friendly atmosphere, Discovery is known
by many locals as the "place to take the family". Discovery's 614 skiable acres provide enough
variety for the beginner, intermediate, and expert skiers
.
Do you have both cross-country and downhill skiers in your group or family? Save time when you
begin and end your day from the same parking lot.  Discovery Basin offers cross-country trails
for beginner to advanced skiers. Check out the
Forest Service Nordic Ski Trails for more
information. Also explore the Beaverhead National Forest for many more cross-country trails to
match your style of skiing.

If you're looking for awesome groomed trails, go to
Mt. Hagen for over 25 kilometers of skiing
that reach to the continental divide! If you're a skate or classic skier, you're sure to have a great
time here. Located only 15 miles south of Anaconda on Hwy 274.
Snowmobiling - Enjoy some of Montana's most beautiful back country on snowmobile. Three
major trail systems provide 140 miles of groomed snowmobiling for the beginner plus more
challenging runs for the experts.
Snowshoe around Georgetown Lake and take in the beautiful surroundings of the Pintlar Range,
as well as several spectacular homes and cabins.

Georgetown Lake is becoming one of the best places in the world to snowkite, boasting the
Snowkiting Festival, drawing kiters from all over the world.
Ice Fishing - Are you an ice fisherman/woman? Georgetown Lake offers some of the best trout
and Kokanee salmon fishing in western Montana. Before heading out on the ice, make sure it's
safe, and of course, be sure you comply with Montana's fishing regulations at

Spring, Summer and Fall Fun!
Golfing - Montana's only Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course, Old Works Golf Course. Rich with
history, this location was the original site of Anaconda's first copper smelter. With multiple tee
boxes, this 18 hole course appeals to all levels of play.

Fairmont Hot Springs "mile high, mile long" 5th hole! Fairmont Hot Springs features an 18
hole, par 72 course with the largest 3 tiered green on the 3rd hole.
Hiking and mountain bike trails are abundant in the DeerLodge National Forest.
Fishing - Blue ribbon trout streams include Flint and Rock Creeks. Or fish Georgetown Lake from
shore or boat for huge trout. The lake also holds a population of land locked Kokanee salmon.

purchased online.
Fairmont Hot Springs - Relax and rejuvenate in Montana's largest hot pools. Fairmont Hot
Springs also boasts a 350 foot water slide that ends in one of the outdoor hot pools.
